[Bug 1000392] New: eCos installation failed

https://bugzilla.ecoscentric.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1000392

           Summary: eCos installation failed
           Product: eCos
           Version: 2.0
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: HostOS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: normal
         Component: Other
        AssignedTo: jifl@ecoscentric.com
        ReportedBy: mail@mfrey.net
         QAContact: ecos-bugs@sources.redhat.com

I've fetched the ecos-install.tcl and started the script by typing 'sh
ecos-install.tcl'. The workstation where I want to install eCos is behind a
proxy and if you don't add the command line option -v to 'sh ecos-install.tcl'
the script don't ask for a directory in which to install. After the installation
you find a directory named ? where eCos is installed into.

I've tried the installation at home where no proxy is between my internet
connection and my workstation so I guess it is a problem of the proxy
settings/handling (shell variables for proxy support are set and fetching and
'installing' works).

The tested systems at university are two different versions of Ubuntu, at home I
tested it on a Gentoo Linux System and it works perfect.
