Did you do an ecosconfig import before that? You'll need to tell us what 
error you got!

Doing an:
ecosconfig new iq80321 redboot
ecosconfig import 
~/ecos/packages/hal/arm/xscale/iq80321/current/misc/redboot_ROM.ecm
ecosconfig tree

works for me. The make (not ecosconfig tree) broke just at the weekend, 
but works now.

The RedBoot documentation of course describes how to build for the
