No, but if you don't use RedBoot, you need to build the eCos
application in such a way that it does everything for itself (i.e.
does not expect RedBoot to be present).
The simplest way to accomplish this is to change the value of
CYGSEM_HAL_USE_ROM_MONITOR
to be false (0).
