The startups available do depend on the platform. Some platforms might only support RAM startup because nobody has contributed a ROM startup yet. Other platforms might have several different RAM startups, depending on which ROM monitor is installed on the board - exactly what hardware is already initialized and how may vary with the ROM monitor. Instead it may be desirable to give a stronger visual indication of the current platform and startup, to avoid confusion. This is something we will bear in mind as the host-side software evolves.
