You only need to apply that patch on snapshots before 2000-03-30. What
snapshot are you using? Some of the line offsets patch reports are very
large which seems to imply a lot has changed between the expected snapshots
people are using, and the one you have.
The easiest solution, of course, would be to download a new snapshot; but
of course that has potential risks itself.
