Have you tried using minicom or kermit to validate that the flash has
programmed OK. When you wake up the board you should see a gdb O packet
(defaults at 38K baud) on the serial line. Something like:
++$T050f:e0120004;0d:a01f0000;#71
If not a common problem is the tools provided for downloading and
programming the flash. You may have to modify this to increase the delay
between characters sent to the board. With no flow control and such a
variety of h/w configurations, you can loose characters sent to the target
boards when programming and the code does not handle lost data recovery at
all.
