Hi
I have downloaded all the development tools from red hat site for the PowerPC. I am working on CygWin 1.1.8, WindowsNT(S.P. 6) eCos 1.3.1. I have build all the tools like powerpc-eabi-gcc, g++, gdb, ld ... all are working.
My target processor is XPC860ENZP50C1 with 16 mb of ram and 2mb of flash. Hardware is also having serial and ether net port. This is a custom hardware. and is working with OSE. I want to port eCos on it.
I have read the documentation provided by eCos. I have build the application provided with the eCos package (example folder.) But I am not able to run it on the target hardware. It may be possible that I have made some mistake, because I am new to such a big system.
I am not clear about the memory layout terms used by eCos. Can any body tell me what these are and what there meanings.
I think if memory layout porting will be okay my application will work. But to make my application work i want your help. Please tell me how i can start to build applications which will work. Because i may be running in the wrong direction.
Ashutosh
