compiling SMC package

can someone help me out of a dead end.
i am having a mbx based port for my MPC860T
based platform. (CVS snapshot 30-Jul-2001)
I added the package
CYGPKG_IO_SERIAL_POWERPC_QUICC_SMC into
my target section in ecos.db.
CYGPKG_IO, CYGPKG_IO_SERIAL are also
(automatically) enabled.
It seems, that the file quicc_smc_serial.c
is never compiled.
Is this intended behaviour?
