It's not quite the same with cygwin - it doesn't have the same
ramifications. It would be more akin to "mkdir" than "mount". Specifically
what I am thinking of is mounting it as /opt/redhat/ecos/x.y.z/ and
ensuring that is in text mode. This is virtually indistinguishable from it
having installed itself to /opt/redhat/ecos.
There's a bunch of issues with this though :-(.
