Sorry for delayed response, but I've been very busy these days. :-/
Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to try anything more than the above
mentioned simple modifications (regarding the 1ms tick, of course). Luckily,
I've been using the modified network stack (1ms) since then and transferred
gigabytes of data without any trouble.
Since I am dealing with a very important project right now, and since it is
not related to the 1ms network support, I am not able to help you with the
patches right now. However, I could apply any of your patches and put them
in the stress tests (because they are automated and do not require my
effort) to transfer another couple of gigabytes.
