gdb and arm debugger

- Subject: [ECOS] gdb and arm debugger
Hi all!
I'm trying to use gdb/insight to debug an application
that I'm porting under eCos.
The HW platform I'm using is derived from CirrusLogic
EDB7209: I'm working with an EP7209 ARM based
uC from Cirrus.
I'm racking my brain to understand why the same executable
(obtained with gcc-3.0 toolchain under cygwin)
runs and is correctly debugged if I use the ARM debugger
and it's not if I try to use gdb/Insight.
This happens both when I connect with the target and when
I use the simulator.
Can someone give me any reason for this difference?
Perhaps some more information are needed before
giving an answer to my question... If so, please tell me
which other data can be useful to solve this problem
and I will provide any good guy who want to help me
with them!
Bye,
Igor.
