- Subject: [ECOS] error while compiling gcc-2.95.3-5 src on cygwin
hi
i am compiling gcc-2.95.3-5-src on cygwin which i
installed on windowsNT through the cygwin setup
program
i followed the below steps
$ ../gcc-2.95.3-5/configure
--prefix=/usr/local/cygwin --enable-languages=c
make
$ but i got the folloing error
-------------------------------------------------------
../../gcc-2.95.3-5/gcc/frame
mv tmplibgcc2.a libgcc2.a
rm -rf tmplibgcc.a libgcc.a tmpcopy
mkdir tmpcopy
if [ xlibgcc1-asm.a != x ]; \
then (cd tmpcopy; ar x ../libgcc1-asm.a); \
else true; \
fi
(cd tmpcopy; chmod +w * > /dev/null 2>&1)
(cd tmpcopy; ar x ../libgcc2.a)
(cd tmpcopy; ar rc ../tmplibgcc.a *.o)
rm -rf tmpcopy
if [ -f ranlib ] || ( [ "i686-pc-cygwin32" =
"i686-pc-cygwin32" ] && [ -f /usr/bin/ranlib -o -f
/bin/ranlib ] ) ; then \
ranlib tmplibgcc.a; \
else true; fi
mv tmplibgcc.a libgcc.a
makeinfo -I../../gcc-2.95.3-5/gcc -o cpp.info
../../gcc-2.95.3-5/gcc/cpp.texi
41 [main] sh 205 proc_subproc: Couldn't duplicate
my handle<0xB0> for pid 207, Win32 error 6
../../gcc-2.95.3-5/gcc/cpp.texi: No such file or
directory (ENOENT)
make[1]: *** [cpp.info] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/home/Administrator/obj/gcc'
make: *** [all-gcc] Error 2
------------------------------------------------------
1. does it becoz i didnot install cygwin properly or
2. does any patch files to be attatched as i found
some in source folder and i didn't find any
desciption.
Any information regarding this problem will be
really helpfull to me
Regards
Prabhanjan Kumar
