The netdevtab contains the init functions for the ethernet drivers
you configured in your setup.It is the job of the network stack
to walk this list and call each init in turn.
for the redboot stack it is done in redboot/src/net_io.c
for the *BSD stacks in tcpip/src/ecos/support.c
the lwip stack also does this.
