gdb stub execute check

Will not there be a method to judge to be it from target program whether
gdb stub becomes active?

When gdb stub works when I output a message in serial port, I want to
output it with protocol of gdb.
I can do action for the purpose if I can acquire status of place gdb_active
which I investigated, but there is not a cf. general purpose method.

Is not there any good method?
