dynamic creation of ethernet instances ?


In a certain application we need to ba able to generate dynamically an 
arbitrary (well, limited by memory , of course) number of "logical" ethernet 
interfaces. 
Multiple logical interfaces might be tied to 1 physical interface, but it 
would be important that the upper layer sees each logical interface as 
a "real" ethernet. Multiple VLANs would be an example of this. 

Anyway to do this ? It seems to break the compile time macro behavior ...
