- Subject: [ECOS] Redboot ec555 light
Dear Bob,
I have managed to burn the ROM version of redboot for the ec555 on my
ec555 light board by reworking the BSP provided by CodeWarrior. Luckily,
it works and I get the Redboot> prompt on my hyperterminal.
But, since this port is designed for the ec555 and not the ec555 light,
certain board specific things need to be changed, as you already
mentioned. For example, right now the flash drivers don't work and I
always get the error:
FLASH: driver init failed: Driver does not support device
Sorry, no FLASH memory is available
Could you please point me in the direction of the
resources/documentation which could give me a deeper insight on how I
can go about making these changes to your ec555 port? Also, if possible,
what specific modules (such as the memory controller setup) need to be
changed?
The ec555 light consists of 256k x 32 bit external synchronous Burst
SRAM (upto 1 MB), no external flash memory, and a 4kb Serial EEPROM on
the QSPI organized as 512 x 8bits.
Best,
Aakash
