RE: Releasing Code into the Community


Just a quick update

I don't expect this implementation of PPP to be placed into the repository
(eCosCentric have already created one that sounds better). 

It has the following features:

	1) Sits as an standalone thread (unlike Ethernet
	2) Does not use the TTY device.
	3) Developed and Tested for the OpenBSD TCP/IP stack (not the
FreeBSD Stack, it may work?)
	4) Supports CHAP and PAP.
	5) Does not include a Dialler, we have our own application to do
that so it was not a requirement.
	6) Still needs management consent for release (should know in the
next few weeks)
	7) Based upon the standard pppd (cannot remember version, sorry)
