I was having trouble with ymodem uploads today.
I was unable to upload via HyperTerminal from a sluggish fileserver
(this server was having problems today with random 5-10 second pauses).
The upload work run fine for 10-100%, and then suddenly stop. If I
copied the file locally to my machine, I could upload via HyperTerminal
just fine.
Before I embark on devicing a testbench, etc. does anyone have a word of
advice on whether I'm looking in the right place?
Rounding up the usual suspects:
- at91 serial drivers. The same problem appears with and without the PDC
code enabled.
- HyperTerminal. A fine piece of software from the early 90's.
- redboot ymodem routines. Do the ymodem redboot routines have
difficulties recovering from a period of silence/errors?
