Re: How to use a disk image on Linux

No,it can't,I have tried.

try to mount it using loopback interface. See manpages for mount.

If you have a disk image with several partitions and you want to mount
a specific partition using loopback you need to specify the offset of
partition start with 'losetup' utility. You can get the offsets with 'sfdisk'.
Or you can use mtools if you have fat partitions.

Subject: [ECOS] How to use a disk image on Linux

Hi all,

currently I have got a disk image,it contains two partitions in it,but I
don's know how to use it in Linux,it can use:

fdisk filename

to find that it has two partitions, but I want to use this image file as
/dev/hda,and can mount each of its partition to a directory.

Any help appreciated!
