When in doubt, do the easy thing. So rather than slog through back porting
ecosconfig to g++ 2.95.4, I simply statically linked it. Now it lives
happily in my /usr/local/bin without having to find libstdc++.so.5.
On a related note, there is a Riva TNT2 compatible code in the XFree86 4
release so I'm hacking that code to get some stuff displayed on my system.
Has anyone considered an ECOS HAL for video devices? I know many embedded
devices have no screen but a lot of them do, and it would make things
easier perhaps?
