Short answer: Some header files and a touchscreen
driver. The additions/changes I have made will look
trivial to you.

Redboot and ecos run with ethernet support. I just
took the h3600 code and added h3800 support. The same
image will run on both h38xx and h36xx. Since the
machines have different peripherals, I detect the
machine type at boot time and initialize the hardware
based on the result. I did not get a chance to work on
the flash read/write code. I think the machines have
the same chip, I'll check later.
The h38xx buttons and touchscreen work in eCos (not in
redboot). I also added support for a PCMCIA sleeve and
some PCMCIA linksys Ne2000 clones.
I am also working on an H3900 port. Redboot and eCos
are already working via the serial port.

Good idea. I'll come back with the verdict.

Thanks.
