RedBoot "go" command

Subject: [ECOS] RedBoot "go" command

Hi,

I need to write some code to test basic things in my
board, such as RAM, Flash,GPIOs, among other stuff.
I was wondering if I would be able to compile my app
and use go command or exec command from redboot to
execute it, but I had no success so far.
What's "go" good for ? Wich kind of apps it can load
and run ?
Can I run an app compiled and linked with
linux-elf-gcc with it ? Any help or comment is
