Thanks for all the excellent feedback!
Seems like ARM Thumb is going to face tough competition from
various other tricks that are available on any one project,
since it isn't entirely free in terms of development resources and
that it could have negative effects on performance in certain cases.
Code-size in the embedded world seems to be a popular competitive
semi-meaningful scalar value of choice amongst combatants. Kinda
like GHz for PC's. :-)
