hi !

I also had this problem with my ep9315.
it has something to do with cirrus stores or wants to store the mac on SPI 
eeprom, and i think its not realy working. never looked deeper ...

I didn't solve it because our custom board does not have a SPI eprom, like 
cirrus eval board have.  on my custom board I solved it with deleting the 
section and added my custom settings ...
