Sorry for a silly question - did you try "fis init -f"?
I had the same problem with my kernel (I had mess on my screen instead of the linux decompressing message) - I solved that by setting my hardware mac.

I am working on the new EBD9312 boards we got today.
I have downloaded the redboot.bin successfully; I hooked the network
cable.


When we start the board for the first time after installation of redboot
we get the following message just before the redboot prompt:-

+Flash configuration checksum error or invalid key
EP93xx - no EEPROM, static ESA, or Redboot config option.
No network interfaces found
