Don't get me wrong, I'm ok with Linux, but I'm trying to avoid yet
another *nix version at home ;-)

I used FreeBSD 6.x to do development. It works fine although the
configtool is unavailable. There is a single patch to one of the files
so that it can find your tclsh (see the archives)
