- Subject: [ECOS] [Q] Idiot's guide for RedBoot?
Hello all,
Is there any sort of "Idiot's guide for RedBoot"?
I have been using RedBoot during my development to load the linux kernel
and my rootfs from a TFTP server. This has all worked fine but now I need
to actually put the kernel and filesystem into the flash on my board.
I have been able to do this, and get the system to boot, but I want to
eventually be able to update both images from Linux. I would also like
to have a fall-back image of both the kernel and rootfs in case something
should go wrong during an update.
If anyone could point me to a good "idiot's" guide I would really appreciate
it. I guess I also need a similar "idiot's" guide for the mtd subsystem.
Thanks,
Hartley
