Why? It worked. I had a whole system including all + GNOME-1.4 and
KDE-2.2.2 ... (using --disable-sanity-checks for the glibc ;-)

I'll perform futher testings and report.

btw: are gcc-3 binaries still getting really huge? A test with
glibc-2.1.3 and gcc-3.0.2 showed a increased binary size of ~33% ... ?
