[Bug 19824] New: gdb doesn't show $epc on tx39

http://bugs.ecos.sourceware.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19824

           Summary: gdb doesn't show $epc on tx39
           Product: eCos
           Version: unknown
          Platform: jmr3904 (Toshiba JMR-TX3904 board)
        OS/Version: MIPS
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: low
         Component: Other
AssignedTo: jifl at ecoscentric dot com
ReportedBy: nobody at cygnus dot com

After catching an exception, using "print $epc" in GDB
always says 0. However, it should in fact be set to
the address at which the exception occured.

This could be either a cygmon or GDB issue, most
likely the former.

This should be a low pri PR though.

How-To-Repeat:
On TX39 hardware, use some code that generates an
exception such as reading from an unaligned address.

If you set a breakpoint in the exception handler, and
print $epc, it comes out as 0.

It is possible that it is the breakpoint itself that causes
$epc to be cleared - I'm not sure. Someone should
investigate anyway.
