Roland,
     One last time...I forgot to cc the list. The attached patch
is a revised version of Franz's glibc-libgcc-compat-ppc-9.patch
with the missing SHLIB_COMPAT wrapper added to 
sysdeps/powerpc/divdi3.c. This one goes into glibc trunk.
                Sorry about the misdirected duplicates.
