The commit message of a7ee49dc1d5f78c59ee150ed89f24ecf607b6e20
(1995-02-17; ``Initial checkin.'') looks fishy.

Also, before that one there are a lot of dot ``.'' commit messages.  In
the old glibc.git mirror they had more useful commit messages (at least a
bit more useful: ``Initial revision'', ``entered into RCS'', ``Formerly
FILE.~ID~'').

Note that I don't insist on having this corrected; I merely thought that
I'd tell you what I just noticed.
