I agree and would like to echo your optimism.
What we're trying to do now is see if any system out-of-the-box is better
than any other system.
We will certainly circle back and write up our experiences to see if any
given system should be adopted over any other.
Working on gerrit is not something that I am inherently motivated to do,
and so the problem with adoption is that someone has to do the change or
we propose to the GNU Toolchain fund that we pay someone to make key
strategic changes for glibc.
